Beyond the subway

Rail, buses, bikes, and the bridge

Local and express buses
Several MTA bus routes cross Mott Haven along the avenues and the Grand Concourse, filling in the crosstown and short-hop trips the subway lines, which run mostly north-south here, do not cover directly.
Citi Bike
Citi Bike docks are spread across the neighborhood, a quick way to cover the in-between distances, reach a different station, or ride down toward the waterfront and the Randall's Island Connector when the weather is good.
The Madison Avenue Bridge
The Madison Avenue Bridge crosses the Harlem River into Manhattan just south of the neighborhood, a direct road and cycling connection to Harlem and the East Side for drivers and riders alike.
