The design

The Astelle is drawn in the language of its neighborhood, with deep window reveals and balconies that step out over the street on select homes. The building reads as part of Mott Haven, and lifts it.
Inside, the palette is warm and quiet: wide-plank oak floors, stone-look countertops, and tile drawn from the same restrained register. Stainless appliances, a dishwasher, and central air are standard. Select homes include an in-home washer and dryer, and shared laundry is also available in the building.
Every layout is set against the windows. Rooms are oriented to hold the long South Bronx light from morning through dusk, and the glass is sized to let it in: the architecture and the daily life of the home drawn as one move.

The largest homes, drawn for the long view. Select three-bedrooms step out onto a private balcony over Mott Haven, where the brick rowhouses and the rising skyline sit side by side.
